Peacefully surrounded by her family, on Sunday afternoon of March 3, 2024, after over 6 long years of enduring the ravishes of Alzheimers, Linda at the age of 73, with her stepdaughter at her bedside, Linda quietly slipped away while listening to some Beatle tunes.
Linda, once completing her Nursing degree had many successful jobs in her field and was a Head Nurse at the Orthopedic and Arthritic Institute, when she finally decided she wanted to move on to the leisure of retirement.
Her passion for photography has left us surrounded by the gift of many beautiful pictures she took with her favorite camera. Her camera even though it sits now slowly gathering dust, saw quite a few countries and places where she ventured in her love of travel and immersing herself in different cultures. Linda together with her husband, loved the game of tennis and when they were looking for a Florida condo the only requirement was a good tennis court. For so many years now she has missed sitting out on the front porch in the evening, sipping her wine watching the contrails of the planes overhead, or dancing to her favorite tunes.
When I reminiscence about the Linda we knew I picture her with her thick, wavy lustrous hair, always well dressed for whatever the occasion, with a slight smirk on her lips and her joy of laughter.
Linda is survived by her husband and partner in crime Maurice Francois, her Step Children Nicole (Nikki), Danielle (Dani), Jean-Pierre (J.-P.), her step grandchildren Imran, Shakira, Jade and Jean-Marc, her great step grandchildren Isaac and Teddy, and her sister Ellen Douglas.
A Private Family Cremation.
