We mourn the passing and celebrate the life of Jean A. Pagnotta, who peacefully departed this world on Thursday, March 7, 2024. A long-time resident of Port Jefferson Station, Jean, passed after the 47th anniversary of her perpetual 39th birthday. Jean leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and warmth that touched the lives of many.
Jean leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted children, Linda Badami and Charles Pagnotta, along with his wife Becky, who shared a special bond with their mother. Her grandchildren were a source of immense pride and joy for Jean, who cherished every moment spent with them. Heather Levine, Rich Levine, Nicholas Pagnotta, Joseph Badami, Noah Pagnotta, Daniel Badami, and Bailey Pagnotta, brought immeasurable happiness into her life, and her memory will forever be etched in their hearts. She is also survived by her beloved brother John Alongi and his wife Josephine, as well as her nieces and nephews.
Jean was known for her unwavering strength and resilience, a testament to her Sicilian heritage. She found joy in the music of the fifties, and loved other music that included Neil Diamond and Rod Stewart. An avid traveler, she enjoyed exploring new destinations and experiencing different cultures. Jean's passion for playing mahjong and bunko brought laughter and camaraderie to countless gatherings, while her love for solving crossword puzzles from People Magazine and Newsday showcased her sharp intellect and curiosity.
Her vibrant and sociable nature endeared her to all who knew her, and she made friends wherever she went. Jean's memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever guiding us with love and light.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation to honor Jean's memory, which will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be conducted on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Gerard Majella Church, located at 300 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Following the mass, Jean will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, situated at 3442 Route 112, Coram, New York 11933.
Jean's memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
